Standing sheet
About this desk
Who reads these plan sheets, what they refuse to publish, and why a site about agency tiers contains no numbers about agency money.
AgencyRack is a small independent desk that reads the agency tier of website builders and writes down what it finds. It is not run by any of the platforms on the rack, none of them review anything here before it is published, and none of them have ever asked to.
What we do
We open the vendor's own pricing page, support article or product page, read the tier table, and write down which permission sits on which plan for which price. Then we put the date on it. That is the entire method, and it is written out in more detail on how we check white label.
It sounds too simple to be worth doing. It is worth doing because almost nobody does it. The most repeated claim in this category — which builder is the white-label one — turned out on inspection to be attached to the wrong tier and roughly a third of the right price.
What we refuse to publish
No agency margins. No retainer figures. No markup percentages. No sentence beginning "agencies typically charge". Those numbers cannot be sourced from anywhere credible, they vary by an order of magnitude between a two-person studio and a fifty-person shop, and publishing them would make this site a worse version of the thing it was built to replace.
We also do not publish hands-on speed tests of builder output, because we have not run any. Judgements here are assessments of documented plan capabilities. Where a vendor's own page contradicts a widely repeated third-party claim, we say so and side with the vendor's page.
When we get it wrong
Tiers move. Features get promoted, demoted and renamed, usually without an announcement. If a figure on a sheet no longer matches the vendor's page, it is a mistake and we would like to know — tell the desk and the sheet gets re-read, with a new date on it.
